Today’s Parent: stress and isolation during the pandemic
The Pregnancy during the Pandemic study was featured in an article from Today’s Parent on stress and isolation for new moms during the pandemic.
At three months postpartum, 80 percent of women reported feeling more alone and about 28 percent experienced a dramatic increase in feelings of isolation due to quarantine. Major contributors of stress include fear of the baby’s health being compromised due to COVID-19, as well as the added stress and responsibilities associated with quarantine.
