Alberta Health Services: Childbirth and Parenting Education Classes

Alberta Health Services hosts live virtual classes to provide information from experienced educators, as well as a chance to socialize with other expectant moms. These are virtual so you can attend them in the comfort of your own home, and you can bring your partner and kids. Their brochure outlines many free classes along with some paid ones for a low cost.

Two free courses offered:

Early Pregnancy class covers basic information about the changes your pregnancy will bring to your body, relationships and lifestyle. It is 2 hours long, and it is recommended that you attend during the early stages of your pregnancy.

Healthy Eating for Pregnancy is hosted by a registered dietitian to provide information about the nutritional needs and safety during pregnancy. This free 90 minute course is open to Alberta residents only.

They also have informational classes on childbirth as well as parenting a newborn.
