CDC’s Developmental Milestones

Skills such as taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and waving “bye bye” are called developmental milestones.

"How your child plays, learns, speaks, acts, and moves offers important clues about your child’s development. Developmental milestones are things most children (75% or more) can do by a certain age." (CDC)

These milestones have been determined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. See the developmental milestones for your child from 2 months to 5 years. Click here.
